Antique typewriter are an automatic, electromechanical, or electronic piece of equipment that comes with a whole combination of "keys" that, when pressed, prints letters on a piece of paper.
It was only after the 19th or the 20th century that an individual who worked upon a typewriter was known as a “typewriter” and eventually the word was replaced but it then became more common to call the person a typist.
There are many people who have a passion to collect such antique items and one of the most popular ones being an antique typewriter as it is no longer in demand.
But still the value and worth of such an antique item
is soaring. After the advent of computers, typewriters
completely lost its share of market as computers proved
to be thousands times better than a typewriter as it is
of multi functional use. |
